Ferric Ammonium Citrate [NH4]{y}[Fe{x}(C6H4O7)] sol. 20%

Potassium Ferricyanid K3[Fe(CN)6] sol. 8%

Lead nitrate Pb(NO3)2 sol. 2%

Operating procedure

1. Make a basic cyanotype (6 min)
3. Lead nitrate bath for 2 min
4. Wash twice for 30 seconds

I expected lightening (hence 6 min instead of 5), because ferric and ferrous lead cyanide are light in colour, but it seems that they do not form.

Consignes de sécurité

Lead is toxic through accumulation. The soluble nature of nitrate requires special attention.
